We believe that Our Lord wants something better for our elderly, disabled, and terminally ill, and we are here to make a difference.  

 

St. Joseph’s on the River  is designed and staffed to respond to the dignity of each person by providing a private, well equipped, homelike environment carefully staffed by those dedicated to our mission of bringing Christ’s love to each resident.

Bringing Christ’s Love to Adult Care

Our property is beautifully and continently situated on the Washougal River where our residents will enjoy the peaceful grounds.  Each resident will have a large private room.   In addition, we will have activities designed to enhance our resident’s life and capacities.  While dedicated to caring for their physical needs, we are equally committed to their personal spiritual development.  To this end we will have a lovely prayer room available at the heart of the home.  

The home is provided by a non-profit, the Human Dignity Foundation, and operated by an independent non-profit organization, the John Paul II Servants for Life, our focus is on care not profits.  

 

Unaffiliated with the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle, our organization is, however, committed to Our Lord and His Roman Catholic Church.   We are, therefore, obedient to our Archbishop and the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church. 

 

Our care is available to all, regardless of religious convictions and regardless of  financial  means.

 

However, based on our deeply held convictions, we will not assist or contribute to the withholding of ordinary care when the provision of such care would not be disproportionately burdensome to the person’s body; nor will we assist or contribute to any action designed to prematurely cause death.
